Christian Abbiati confesses Milan “should’ve finished it off” in the first leg victory over Alessandira, by a 1-0 margin, among Serie A giants and Lega Pro minnows.
“We certainly had chances to score more goals and should’ve finished it off. We hit the post also via Niang.” The 38 year-old veteran goalkeeper told Rai Sport.
“There were a thousand potential pitfalls and Alessandria are a really impressive side, but we had to win.”
Christian labeled Milan’s objectives for the season.
“The Coppa Italia is one of our objectives along with qualifying for Europe.”
Abbiati then talked about the upcoming Derby di Milano.
“The Derby is always the big game in Milan and we are highly motivated to bring home the three points, so from tomorrow onward we’ll think about that.”
