Despite the current season still ongoing, the next campaign is already a hot topic for the AC Milan environment. The reason for this is that the Rossoneri are preparing for yet another revolution. However, this time it will be something very different, with Ralf Rangnick ready to take over at the club.
The German is currently acting in an executive role at Red Bull, precisely as head of sport and development. However, before taking this role, he enjoyed a very rich coaching career, sitting on the bench of Hoffenheim, Schalke and Red Bull Leipzig on two occasions.
The quality and passion of Rangnick for football is evident from the way he operates and the results he has obtained but it has also been confirmed by two of his former pupils – Yussuf Poulsen and Kevin Kampl – who spoke to German TV Sport 1 (via milannews.it) in July 2018 when Rangnick returned to the Red Bull Leipzig bench.
“Rangnick is a perfectionist, he thinks about all the little details. He is very ambitious and always tries to improve and does everything for us, so we can give everything on the pitch. This really includes everything both on and off the pitch,” Poulsen said.
“I have known Rangnick for several years now. I have to say that I have met many people in football, but I have never met someone who is in love with football like him. He really works so hard that everything is perfect. Not only on the field but everything. He does everything to ensure that the players are at the top, you just have to focus on your football. He does a great job both as a coach and sporting director,” Kampl added.
