Higuain’s future with AC Milan is anything but certain after failing to live up to expectations. In addition to this, Chelsea manager Sarri strongly wants to reunite with the Argentinian this month.
After Juventus said ‘no’ to a dry loan, Chelsea are now studying how much money they should offer for Higuain, and above all with which formula, for an operation that would cost no less than €50m.
Juventus are expecting at least a loan with an obligation to buy, but the English side hopes to meet them in the middle, with a loan for 18 months (until end of next season). And Milan? Leonardo is already probing the market for a potential substitute.
As reported by La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Rossoneri have identified Genoa’s Piatek as their main alternative to Higuain already in January. Genoa don’t want to let go of their star, but Leonardo and Milan will try to make the deal happen.
