There goes the final whistle! It wasn’t vintage from Milan by any means, yet it was enough thanks to Füllkrug’s goal with 15 minutes left. Six points in four days keeps Inter within striking distance, and the gap to fifth is now seven points.
That should have been the game put to bed, but Falcone stops Nkunku’s close-range shot from Rabiot’s pull-back.
Four minutes added, as Lecce have a corner cleared.
A gorgeous outside-of-the-boot ball over the top from Modric finds Nkunku’s run in behind, yet he checks back and is tackled. That deserved to be an assist.
Jashari now the latest to limp off, though hopefully it’s just cramp.
On: Nkunku, Modric.
Off: Leao, Jashari.
Saelemaekers makes way, clutching his left groin.
On: Athekame.
Off: Saelemaekers.
FINALLY MILAN LEAD! It’s been coming all second half, and this is all thanks to a beautiful ball over the top for Saelemaekers and a pinpoint cross. Füllkrug is on hand to head home from close range, and the Rossoneri are in front at last.

A corner is whipped into a brilliant area with Gabbia flicking it on. Füllkrug and De Winter have bites at it, yet Lecce get it clear again.
On: Loftus-Cheek, Füllkrug.
Off: Ricci, Pulisic.
Now Rabiot sends a snapshot over the bar from Estupinan’s square ball. Milan knocking on the door, but it is yet to open.
Falcone AGAIN! Another brilliant low save, this time to deny Pulisic after a love through ball by Leao!
What a save by Falcone to deny Ricci’s shot from just inside the edge of the box!
Estupinan now side-foots a volley not too far over the bar. It’s all Milan, but still without the breakthrough.
Estupinan again gets to the byline to provide, this time finding Saelemaekers who takes a bad touch and has a shot blocked. From the resulting corner, Gabbia heads over.
A deep cross finds Estupinan’s run at the far post, but his cut-back on the volley is just about scrambled away.
We are back underway here, without any changes at the interval.
Milan are clearly the better side here, but as so often happens in games like these, they have been lacking the final touch, pass or shot to make the most of their superiority.
One minute added on.
Luca Zufferli, the referee, has been letting a bit too many challenges slide so far. Pulisic should’ve had a free-kick there for sure.
Good chance for Pulisic after a nice pass in behind by Saelemaekers, but the goalkeeper makes the save.
You can see the quality difference between the two teams, but no breakthrough yet for Milan. Just a lot of close calls.
A bit unlucky to get carded there, as it seemed more like a 50-50 duel than anything (and those stamps usually go unpunished).
Terrible defending from Estupinan on the edge of the box and Lecce created a decent chance there. That can’t continue.
Leao scores but the flag is up for offside! Looked to be correct, but would have been a very nice goal if not as the No.10 made a good run, and Saelemaekers provided a good pass.

No Fofana, no party(for Lecce)
Ricci, Rabiot, Jashari looks good
Yes, I thought that Jashari was our best player in this first half, and that’s nice to see. I knew that there was a good player in there; we haven’t seen it because of his horrific injury and lack of game fitness. As he rehabilitates, he is slowly improving and today he is starting to show that he is actually good and not a flop.
Indeed, we have a future in him and Ricci, hopefully we can keep them healthy and developing correctly(and not selling hehe). He looks so mature on the field for his age
Starting to see why Jashari was POTY. Also seeing him run naturally.
Ricci looks good too. This is a rotated midfield that is holding up as expected.
De Winter continues to show he is more than a serviceable backup. He’s now competently covered all three spots and continues to grow before our eyes.
estupido and Be winter
It’s going to be a ‘great’ show. is it a clown show lol
Nice to see us press a bit
Is it me or Estupiñán is actually worse than what he was at the beginning of the season ?
It is not you. Estupiñan has been very bad, yes. He was set up 1 v 1 and didn’t know if he should shot or cross until he lost both angles and gave the ball back to the defense. Lost other balls, was easily dispossessed. No good crosses. He was useless this first half.
It is not you, he is terrible. A sack of salt would do a better job in defense and offside trapping
LEC,
Don’t disappoint people. That #9 can do it, show them!
never mind I said #9, I meant #22. I made a mistake.
Did you really?
At least much more movement than against como. Well, sometimes.
The first 45 mins is always like this.. lol
Puli was atypically bad; arguably Milan’s worst player in the first half. He played like Fofana, losing balls, missing crosses and passes, arriving late, and even interrupted a pass by Jashari intended for Leão which would have placed Rafa 1 v 1 against the keeper. He looks unfocused since his 4 missed changes against Genoa. And don’t call me a hater; he is actually my very favorite player but today he is definitely off. If I were Allegri, I’d sub out Puli now (during halftime) and bring Füllkrug in. Puli was actually detrimental to the team, terminating promising attacks and losing balls. His one good opportunity to score, he shot right at the goalkeeper. Puli is not well; maybe mentally.
Perhaps he is still mentally affected by the Fiorentina game ?
Leão was also bad this half, mistimed runs, bad passing and was absent at moments.
Time for Füllkrug to step in
Which game was that one when Puli missed four opportunities? I thought Genoa but maybe you’re right and it was Fiorentina ; I don’t remember.
Yes, both our upfront guys weren’t effective. Definitely time for Füllkrug. If I had to pick one to sub out between Rafa and Puli, this time it would be Puli to go out; Rafa was a bit less bad and Puli did absolutely nothing right.
I said Puli was our worst player. Well, second worst because Estupiñan is another level of bad. We need Füllkrug for Puli and Bartesaghi for Estupiñan.
And he stepped in
Good job
Take Leao out and put Fulkrug in.
Fans complaining about the Jashari-Ricci pairing not looking good, but Leao and Pulisic are terrible together in this 352 setup.
Leao was useless in the first half.
Pulisic was even more useless; not only useless but also detrimental, losing balls, missing passes, and terminating promising attacking plays. Rafa not effective but less detrimental.
Again, I love Puli; he’s my favorite player but he looks really out of it tonight. The downside is that if it is a mental block, he’ll be even more insecure by being subbed out.
I cross my fingers that he gets a good through pass and scores, to recover his mental focus.
Luigi your the dude that said “to call Leao lazy is racist” your credibility is less than zero.
OH MY GOD, I won’t sleep tonight!!! Some Internet dude thinks I’m not credible! My life is over!!!
calm down you made some good points. just chill
Calm down??? Do you think I’m nervous??? LOL, I couldn’t care less about what you think of me. Whatever.
It seems like you definitely don’t understand sarcasm. You thought I was really upset and was serious about my life being over? Too funny.
I should have said “[insert sarcasm here]” for your benefit.
Radio is good at a lot of things but he genuinely may the worst passer on the team
Rabiot *
Rafa is really slow tonight, can’t dribble, can’t spring forward.
Both Rafa and Puli have been bad. It’s urgent to bring Füllkrug in.
More offensive action from the defenders than the forwards. Both puli and leao don’t have their best day.
Great shot by Ricci. Should have been a score if not for the excellent save.
I said the same thing about Leao at the end of the first half when we played Fiorentina in October at San Siro. Leao was TERRIBLE. But i’m glad we didn’t take him off because he scored 2 goals in the 2nd half. They are wingers playing as strikers…. they just need a brief moment to turn it around
Gabbia can’t aim a header to save his life…
Would like to see Fullkrug come for a 433 and see what we get when Rafa and Puli go to the wings.
Yes, Allegri is taking too long to sub. Practically just 20 minutes left and still 0-0 against a horrible team.
Puli getting the Santi-disease 🙁
keep that to yourself don’t put that out there he’s still leading us in goals – no one need that $hi@
German or why no humor?
Rafa now playing better, had two very good passes, one of them should have been an assist for Puli but the latter seems to have a mental block. Darn. Just like against Fiorentina, Puli can no longer score in balls that he usually buries.
That was a crazy good save from Falcone. Pulisic is playing well. His movement is putting him in good spots and making space for others. He is playing well in the short passes.
Lots of Cheeek, yea! lol
good goal, this is what it should be for a FW.
Fullkrug! Yes sir! I believe in this man so much, he reminds me of Oliver Bierhoff for some reason and i think he can be our no. 9 for the next couple of years.
Very good Hulkrug, that’s all you have to do.
Oh boy, was I wrong about Füllkrug! I protested multiple times about his signing, calling him a washed-up has-been. Instead, he has played very well in all 4 occasions when he was subbed in. He made an immediate impact every time, and today, even, scored when we were again having the kind of game in which despite multiple attempts the ball wasn’t going in!
That should teach me not to jump to conclusions and bash a player before he even starts for Milan. Unfair to him.
Sorry Füllkrug, thank you for the goal, and welcome to Milan!
Milan is decreasing in competition factor. But individuals still matter..
If not for Falcone, this game was a 3 or 4 -0 win. Leao is still hurting. When he’s back to 100%, this team will win the Scudetto.
