CorSport: Adli not satisfied with current situation at Milan as loan offers arrive

By Oliver Fisher -

Yacine Adli returned to AC Milan after his loan spell at Bordeaux last season but he could be set to head out again, according to a report.

Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) mentions the possible exit of Adli in January, given that he is struggling for playing time and is behind Brahim Diaz, Charles De Ketelaere plus even Rade Krunic in the pecking order for the playmaker role.

The Rossoneri will listen to any requests from players who are dissatisfied and want to increase their playing time, and Adli is among them as he expected more opportunities, especially after a summer in which he carried out all his training at Milanello and was among the protagonists of the preseason friendlies.

Thus far the 21-year-old has only played parts of matches and started just one game in Serie A (away against Verona), despite the fact Stefano Pioli has always spoken well highly him, highlighting the technical qualities of the Frenchman.

He was also excluded from the Champions League list together with most of the other new signings, so if he wanted to leave on loan for six months Milan would not object. At the moment a couple of proposals have arrived from Serie A, but a foreign option cannot be ruled out.

  1. Honestly I’m really surprised Pioli doesn’t look to this lad. I’d like to think that even if we got a 27 year old Cristiano, Pioli will still make him sit on the bench all in the name of, “he’s not ready yet.” Are you supposed to get on the pitch and just waltz your way around the opponents as a 21 year old? Let the lad make mistakes and learn from them! And for those who judge him based on the Verona match, I don’t intend to even try to convince you but if you’re willing to believe it, this guy is only second to Benacer in terms of technique if not even better. Pioli, in my opinion doesn’t have to prove himself to anyone considering he won the scudetto last season beyond expectations. Why not give yourself more options by trying this guy along with Vrancxx(not as the double pivot) instead of remaining obstinate and one-dimensional?

    1. “Why not give yourself more options by trying this guy along with Vrancxx”

Maybe Pioli already tried that in the training and it doesn’t work out.

The thing is you can’t just try something that doesn’t work out in training for real match or you will lost a precious 3 points. This IS NOT video games you know where you can just load your save if you lost the match.

      1. Bro maybe it’s the way I worded my sentence but I didn’t mean playing the both of them together in the double pivot. All I meant was giving them more chances to play and make mistakes. What does it mean to give a person 5 minutes to play a game and call that a chance? In the end Oliver will write in his player ratings, “didn’t play much to get a rating.” 😂 😂

  2. Now that Bennacer has decided to leave, how about trying to get Adli to replace him? We need creativity on the midfield and Adli would bring in just that. He can learn to defend better in no time.
