It has been a strange start to life as a fully fledged AC Milan player for Yacine Adli who continues to struggle for playing time.
La Gazzetta dello Sport writes that despite the struggles that Charles De Ketelaere has had adapting and the inconsistencies of Brahim Diaz intermittently, Adli has disappeared. The Belgian and the Spaniard continue to enjoy Pioli’s faith because the former required a big investment and needs game time to adjust, while the latter has been decisive at certain times this season.

Nonetheless, there is a worry that the Frenchman has disappeared from radar. He got a handful of minutes on matchday three and a result against Bologna, then an hour in Verona in the 10th game, with just 114 minutes in total.
Against Verona Adli was deployed in his natural role of playmaker in fact, but in a midfield without Ismael Bennacer – who is an essential part of this team – he floundered more or less like everyone else.
The report mentions that Pioli judges him unsuitable for his aggressive and dynamic football at the moment, yet his stats in France show that he won more tackles than Renato Sanches who was a Milan target for the holding midfield role.

Realistically, there are two people in front for his ideal role and other players who’ve come into the team are behind more established team members. He’ll be thrown in if injuries support it but otherwise expect a slow intro as with any other player.
All new players are still adapting. Meanwhile most old players are still playing consistently.
Remember Leao, Tonali, Bennacer, Kalulu, or Theo wasn’t played that well on their first season either. A lot of fans thinks they are a waste of money. But look at them right now.
So there’s no need to rush since CDK, Adli, and Thiaw have 5 years contract with Milan. If this year they didn’t do well then they can try next season.
On the other hand, Vranckx and Dest are just loan with option to buy. If they didn’t impress this season then Milan can return them back to their owner.
Maybe Maldini and Massara should consult with Pioli before they buy a player to see if he fits Pioli vision of football.
Bakayoko was signed by Maldini, and Pioli has barely used him since he got here.
The same goes for Adli, Vranckx, and Thiaw.
And these comparison with Leao, Tonali, Bennacer, and Theo don’t fit because maybe those players weren’t playing at a high level, but they were playing a lot.
Leao played a lot in his 1st season.
Tonali was a starter in his 1st season because Benacer was injured a lot.
Bennacer was a starter under both Giampaolo and Pioli.
Theo was a starter after Giampaolo got fired , which happened after a month in his 1st season.
You can only use Kalulu as an example, but Kalulu was 19 and never played a 1st team football prior to his transfer to Milan.
Adli is 22 and comes from being a starter in his previous club.
Maybe he just doesn’t fit what Pioli wants from a player in his position .

You seem don’t understand the point where new players usually struggles in their first season because they needs time to adapt, especially if they came from different league.
So it doesn’t matter if they’re a starter who played a lot or not. Go back and watch Theo, Leao, Kalulu, and Tonali first season and i dare you to tell me they aren’t struggling like CDK or Adli.
And if you really follow news about CDK before he joined Milan, you should know that Pioli wants CDK to fill CAM and Moncada already scouted the boy for two years and thinks he fits with Pioli formation. But as we see right now CDK is still struggling to fit with Pioli formation.
You don’t seem to understand ,as usual, that those players you named, even though they struggled at the beginning, PLAYED A LOT.
Unlike Adli, who barely gets any minutes.
