Agent of Chelsea striker Lukaku mentions possibility of ‘talks with Inter or Milan’

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of Romelu Lukaku has seemingly dropped a hint that AC Milan are a potential destination if his client were to leave Chelsea.

Interviewed by La Repubblica, Federico Pastorello mentioned Milan for the first time among the clubs interested in Lukaku. In a question that concerned a possible return to Inter, the well-known agent also deliberately spoke of the Rossoneri as a plausible destination for his client, but admitted that the uncertainty surrounding Chelsea’s ownership is slowing dialogue.

“Have I spoken with Inter? Much ado about nothing. He has the club and the fans in his heart, he has never hidden it, like the love for Anderlecht where he would like to end his career,” he said (via SempreMilan.it).

“But we cannot hypothesise negotiations. Chelsea have defined the sale of the club, we do not know the interlocutors, let alone if we can open talks with Inter or Milan. We have to wait.”

A recent article on Goal by the reliable Chelsea journalist Nizaar Kinsella claimed that the Rossoneri could offer an escape route to save Lukaku from his Chelsea ‘nightmare’ if the takeover talks ongoing between Investcorp and Elliott Management are successful.

He was signed for €120m last summer but Milan’s hopes rest on Chelsea getting new owners soon who would accept selling Lukaku for a loss, and Marco Bellinazzo of Il Sole 24 Ore suggested that if the Bahrain-based fund buy the Rossoneri it might just be possible.

  1. No. Simply. As man other players in the modern era, if you have a connection to a domestic rival – in this case arch enemy of the same city – the player just won’t be able to perform.

    1. What like seedorf pirlo ibra bierhoff?
Don’t buy sorry it most players want to win others just want the cash lukaku is a winner whether he would fit at Milan is different but one thing for sure he scores goals and that’s what we need

  2. hell no. let him go to Inter. I wish Milan will sign a young and fast striker like David of killer or someone with similar characteristics .

    1. Stop being sentimental. Sentiments such as this is the reason why Italian football is lagging behind top leagues like premier League and la Liga.

We need whoever can deliver, doesn’t matter where they have played. It’s about the cash and glory for the players, provide the atmosphere for any of these or for both and you get the service

  3. No way in hell!! He has Inter in his heart. Also I just simply don’t like the guy, he just doesn’t fit with Rossoneri style it mentality. Please go for Nunez or not this clown.

  4. He is good on team that play counter attack often , give him ball from middle field or side field then he will run faster to passed defender scored goal, but if you put him as classic number 9 inside penalty box , he will look stupid with his big body, thats why he failed on Chelsea. Just skip this dude, his cost more expensive than Darwin Nunez or nkunku ( just sign one of this player) . Lukaku salary are 12m euro nett/years,just let him go to inter merda and make their debt club’ increase
