Agent of Lukaku confirms there are ‘no ongoing talks’ with Milan

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are on the verge of selling Sandro Tonali to Newcastle for €80m and will have to decide where to reinvest. Romelu Lukaku’s name was quickly mentioned but those rumours have been denied.

Milan are indeed in search of a striker and it seems Marcus Thuram is just one step away from the club, having rejected the offer of Paris Saint-Germain. Therefore, many were surprised to hear Lukaku’s name in relation to the Rossoneri.

Lukaku is owned by Chelsea but wants to stay at Inter, although those negotiations are proving to be difficult. In any case, as confirmed by the striker’s agent Sebastien Ledure to Fabrizio Romano, there are no talks with Milan.

“No talks ongoing with AC Milan. Romelu wants to stay in Europe; confirmed this by not joining Saudi now. Chelsea position: interested clubs have to present a firm offer. Inter have the ball in their court,” he said.

Milan already have Olivier Giroud and with the potential arrival of Thuram, they wouldn’t really need the Belgian striker. Earlier today, in fact, Sky Italia (via MilanEye) stated that the Lukaku interest seemed more like a provocation to Inter.

  1. So we are loosing our star players every year, they retain their’s and we are provoking them? They refused Barella inquiries on the spot, we accepted a transfer for Tonali. Shouldn’t be throwing stones from a glass house. That being said, this seems like media fabrication.

This is classless and as much as I dislike our ownership group, Inter as well and what is transpiring here, I doubt they have time to waste doing this type of nonsense.

    1. Did they not, sell Hakimi and Lukaku? And let Perisis, Skriniar leave for free? BTW, as per latest reports; Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are battling to sign Barella.. They are in need to sell players, so perhaps it was a move, to trigger an auction and milk out more cash!

      1. Icardi was also sold, and they are forced to sell Onana too, and the GK they thought of replacing him just signed for Tottenham

      2. We sell we hopefully the proceeds are put towards our transfer kitty.

Thet sell the money goes towards debts and interest accrued on those debts.

Well at least we hope SO!

        1. I prefer a nore competitive Italian league to keep more CL spots for us and to develop our players against the best talent possible. It is better for all of us when Italy is a strong league. They loose players, we loose potential sponsorship income when we renegotiate our tv rights. loosing our best players them as well, as for any other of our compatriots is terrible for all of us collectively

          1. Interesting…..I doubt many inter fans are sitting around right now saying “Gee I hope Milan keep Tonali Theo and Leao so we can develop against the best players possible and not lose our sponsorships.”

    2. Lol retain their stars? They also sold their stars and replaced them with cheaper or free one… They are lucky to have Marotta who can sell and find a good replacement… They are not difference than us, they just lucky to have Marotta while we have Maldini

    3. “so we are losing our stars player every year” . Yes we losing them free transfer. Are you satisfied now ? Just this year ACM can sell player with high price while in the last 3-4 season cannot even make something special

    4. Are you sure it’s actually Milan management that is trolling Inter? Anyone can post sh*t on the internet (like e.g. Juro) and claim it’s the truth and the media picks it up and publishes it.

These days over 50% of “news” is just made-up bs.
