Agent of €24m Salzburg star responds to Milan and Arsenal links: “It’s approaching time to leave”

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of Dominik Szoboszlai has claimed that the Red Bull Salzburg star will change clubs either in January or next summer amid links with AC Milan.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for Szoboszlai over the past few months, firstly when Ralf Rangnick appeared set to arrive as the new manager and now the rumours have resurfaced given the ongoing renewal saga concerning Hakan Calhanoglu.

Calciomercato.com are among the sources who have reported that Szoboszlai is a player that very much appeals to the vision of the management, but now they have to deal with increasing competition.

In recent months several other clubs have got themselves involved in the race such as Arsenal, Inter and Real Madrid. All of them are attracted by the release clause present in the player’s contract of €24m.

Now, his agent Esterhazy has spoken to DIGI Sport (via Daniele Longo on Twitter) and has confirmed that a good project is the priority for his client, who is approaching the end of his time in Austria.

“I don’t know if he will leave in January or in the summer, but the important thing is that he finds a club where he has a good chance of playing and continuing his growth. It’s no secret that it’s approaching time to leave the Austrian league,” he said.
