Since arriving at AC Milan, Lucas Paqueta has played a key role in Gattuso’s team. In an interview with MilanNews.it, the Brazilian’s agent gave credit to Gattuso.
“The club’s impact on Paqueta? It has been wonderful, both with the new owners and the city, ever since he arrived in December. He is really happy with what he is experiencing with the club.
“Gattuso? I think he is the first person that should be recognized for Paqueta’s fast adaptation in the team, Lucas is growing tactically in the defensive phase, but at the same time, he is allowed to roam free a bit in attack.
“The negotiations? Leonardo was the great director of the operation. He had confidence in the player, along with Maldini and the whole club, so after some meetings, we closed the deal.
“Kaka? He is Paqueta’s idol, but he wants to create his own path. He will try to follow Ricky’s example, though, both as a professional and as a person.
“Paqueta’s position? I think one of his strengths is that he can adapt to any position. However, as always, the manager knows best where to field the players, both for their good but also for Milan. We are happy as things are,” he concluded.
