Demetrio Albertini has questioned AC Milan’s decision to send Francesco Camarda out on loan to Lecce, rather than giving him playing time with the first team this upcoming season.

Given the back and forth between the first team and the Futuro last season, the hope is now that Camarda will get consistent playing time in the top tier. Lecce, after all, have a reputation for promoting young players and also had Lorenzo Colombo on loan a few years back.
Albertini’s verdict on the move
While many have been positive about the deal, the former Milan player Albertini isn’t so sure that the Rossoneri have made the right decision. In his interview with Gazzetta dello Sport yesterday, he stated that he would have kept the 17-year-old.
“I would have kept him and let him play. Abroad, big teams give talented young players the confidence they need: Barcelona is setting a precedent by using Iniesta, Xavi, Yamal, and many others.
“We, on the other hand, prefer to send them to smaller teams. I ask myself: wouldn’t it have been better if he had played 15-20 games at Milan?”, he stated.
So would I – we are light in that department and this could be his breakout year
Bullshet. He is too young to be bring quality here. He would be wasted on the bench like many before him. And just loaning him will just keep him benched in different team.
This is one of few good deals – Lecce actually benefits from developing him, and Milan can buy him back whenever they want.
Too young? He is 17 yo. Not a child anymore! If he have great talent then age is just a number, he will shine right away when he get chances!
Don’t mind them.As if Pato was not too young then. This current Milan management has loose it all.This guy only need to put on the pitch nd play regularly.That is,

Its easy to have an opinion as an outsider who dont have to deliver results week in and week out.
I would like him to have stayed.
But what I don’t get is:
a) lending him to a lower half Serie A team rather than a top Serie B team, where he’d get more time playing the sort of game we’ll need him for
b) why we let him go when we don’t have any replacement even vaguely lined up and we let Jovic go. He’d be our second forward (or third with Okafor) at the moment
Hmmm maybe they know something we dont? Let them do their job and judge when Window is closed.
I respect Albertini’s view point. However, I think it is good to loan him to a smaller Seria A club where he’ll get more playing time, and return with some experience to play in our Milan team next season
