Massimiliano Allegri is not guaranteed to stay at AC Milan beyond the end of the current season, according to a shock report.
Allegri’s return to Milan was made official before the start of the new campaign, with the coach returning after a previous four year spell from 2010 to 2014 which culminated in the Scudetto win in his debut campaign.

Things are going well with Milan currently second in the league and on course to return to the Champions League, so it seemed like all the conditions are there to keep building the project together.
Allegri pondering Milan future
According to Sportitalia (via Goal) however, Allegri is reportedly unhappy with the current internal dynamics and is considering his future for the summer. More specifically, his relationships with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Giorgio Furlani are said to be strained.
The coach is no longer certain about continuing. He is apparently unhappy with many things: the management, the mercato and the corporate confusion regarding ownership and who will be in charge within the club.
This is why, as Michele Criscitiello explains, Allegri is seriously considering his future starting next season. If previously it seemed impossible to imagine Milan in 2026-27 without him, today Max is unhappy with how things are going.
Allegri is focused on finishing in the top four and bringing the Rossoneri back to the Champions League, but at the moment – unless he receives certain confirmation and reassurance – he no longer has the absolute conviction to continue.
Finally, Sportitalia explain that the relationship with Ibrahimovic and Furlani – the two key figures in the management – is not as solid as it was a few months ago.
Furlani needs to go. He was Elliot’s insider at Milan. Can we just move on from this person. Like do we owe him our lives or did he give birth to us to something.
Also Allegri is retaliating at full force. His choices scream retaliation at the executive management.
Furlani is the reason our books are in order, and the club is in a very healthy position financially, what ever people think, he is a very good GM and CEO, the club and coach needs to iron out their differences…
He needs to stop signing players and leave that to Tare with the input of Allegri. What’s the point of getting a high profile coach if you’re not going to give him what he wants ie a proper striker and an experienced cb and fb. He did not want Nkunku, Fullkrig came in Jan where it’s always hard to get quality players but again that should have been sorted out in the seasons start, he was fine with Estupinian but thought he would be getting more in addition to him. The reality is this due to no UCL our management did not want to spend, we weren’t able to bring in real quality to make us better but just to provide backup for what we already had. When looking at the the sales and acquisitions we only spent about 30 mill.

If / when Milan finishes top 4 this season Allegri will be in a strong position to get what he wants to succeed in Europe and also push for the scudetto.
If he thinks he won’t get the support he needs to compete on all fronts, then we shall see. I would expect money will be available to spend in the summer.

I read fans saying that Allegri has done a miracle by bringing Milan from 8 to 2nd. Milan wasn’t 8th last season because they had bad players or bad squad. They had few bad apples in the locker that were sabotaging the team that they got rid of last summer. Just a reminder that that sane squad minus Giroud and Pioli that finished 8th last season, finished 2nd the season before. No miracles.

I was dead against Allegri and I knew the football would be bad. But I had no idea it’d be this bad. You’re right about Silvio, this is one of the times I miss him, Max would have been gone by match day 3.
Thank you for pointing out the issues with the players last year. Bad attitudes. Theo was terrible. Mike who has saved ACM numerous times this year was so bad last year people wanted him gone. I don’t believe Pioli was the manager to advance the team, but with the managers they brought in Leão and Theo did not respond to being disciplined. It was wise to get rid of one of them.
It would be crazy to replace Allegri with any of the coaches you mentioned. They were all failures at their previous jobs. In my opinion it is Furlani and Ibra that needs to go as both are clueless about football management.
If Milan ownership wants attractive football then their useless moneyball strategy won’t work. Playing for Milan is way more pressure than playing for Como.
Allegri is still the right choice. It’s the stupidity of the poorly structured management and lack ambition from Cardinale that is damaging the club and our progress.

Since the last time Allegri had any success:
Xavi won the title with Barca.
Xabi Alonso won the title with Bayer Levercusen.
Almorin won titles with Sporting.
Maresca won the Conference league and Club World Cup with Chealsea.
De Zerbi is the only one that hasn’t won anything.
Considering our own experience with Fonseca and Conceição, I wouldn’t want to do anything with Amorim or any coach from la Liga Portugal. Heck Mourinho, who wasn’t doing great for a while is steamrolling every team with Benfica.
The only good thing with Xavi is that he’ll at least complain about referees if we’re robbed.

I wasn’t trying to say that they have to prove themselves more, but I meant that in 1 season or 2, once Allegri is gone, they might be an interesting alternative to consider.
They are available now, in a season or 2 when Allegri is gone they won’t be available.
Those successes do not translate well, because Almorim couldn’t turn ManUtd around and Xabi Alonso couldn’t cut it at Real Madrid. Xabi’s football only works at Barca.

Agree 100%. So sick & tired of the same pathetic approach in every match no matter the opponent. The tactic is: “keep it at 0-0 until the last quarter and then hope and pray to get one decent chance and convert it and then go all defense again”. Fans love it all over the world.
Would come as a complete surprise that Allegri would jump ship. There is a base to build on…he is on course to make top4. UCL is beckoning…the only thing that could be a sticky point is differences on targets which I believe can be smooth over between him and Tare. And Allgeri comes into Milan knowing fully well how Milan’s mercato strategy has changed over the years. The best he can do is fight and hang on to his crown jewels and see what additions he needs. As for Ibra I am just wondering if the media is not drumming up bs…we have seen more stories around him last season than this one. I’ll take this with a pinch of salt.

I can put up with ugly, boring, hard to watch football if we are actually winning something. But to have to sit through these awful matches and end up not even close to any trophy is just not worth it.
We had no European play this season , yet we couldn’t even compete for Supercoppa, we get bounced early in Coppa Italia. And we can’t even stay close to Inter in the League. At least we won a trophy last season.
Any improvement in the league this season has less to do with Allegri and more to do with the addition of Modric and Rabiot, and the subtraction of Theo who was a cancer to the squad.

Slow news day. But assuming it’s true, I’m not surprised that Furlani and Ibrahimovic are the issue. Furlani is a turd, and Ibrahimovic is quickly proving himself to be a self-interested stooge as a director. It was thanks to Ibra that Kirovski was brought in to head the Futuro project, and it was because of them that Abate left and that turd Bonera was hired as coach. Abate then went on to almost get promoted with Ternana (losing in the Serie C promotion playoff) and now is doing well with Juve Stabia in Serie B. Abate would probably have not gotten relegated with Futuro as he’d have many of the kids he had in Primavera, all moving up together. Could have been a future first team coach. What was the point of Futuro if it wasn’t to move players and coaches down the pipeline. Furlani and Ibrahimovic are parasites.
