AC Milan are getting closer to announcing Massimiliano Allegri as their head coach, but he might see two stars leave early in his tenure.
After Igli Tare’s arrival as the new sporting director, multiple reports last night claimed that Allegri should become the new manager at Milan. Work can then fully begin on planning for 2025-26, with some big names to hold discussions with.

Two quick sales?
According to La Repubblica, the Rossoneri who are close to closing a deal with Allegri, their former coach who – after a sabbatical year – is ready to get back in the ring. If things go as planned, he should sign a three-year contract (two years at €5m net per year with an option for a third).
Allegri is the coach chosen by Milan for the relaunch. The new director Tare, after receiving a no from Vincenzo Italiano – now destined to renew his contract with Bologna – turned definitively to Max, who was tempted by Napoli but Antonio Conte seems close to staying.
There could be two important sales right away to mark the new era and Allegri, who has not missed a single Milan game this season, has already been informed. Tijjani Reijnders and Mike Maignan are the names in question.
Reijnders is headed to Manchester City (an offer of at least €60m is expected soon), and goalkeeper Maignan is also destined for the exit door. His renewal has been at a standstill for months, and when he was ready to sign previously it was frozen by the club.
The Frenchman has become impatient, to the point of thinking of staying a year and then leaving on a free transfer, but Milan cannot afford that and are thinking of an immediate sale.
Milan can’t force Maignan out the door, if he wants to stay and then earn as a free agent… as we have plenty of experience of.
Yeah but considering that the world cup is held next year Milan still has some leverage in the sense that they could just say that if he wont renew or be sold then he wouldn’t play as they would rather bet on a different goal keeper in the meantime which basically would ruin his chances to play for the French national team. Sure it would be a bit of a douchebag move but still a possibility,
I would hope he renews though and and Reijnders stayed but apparently unlikely to happen at this point.
That’s a good start to the ‘re-build’.
If they sell Reijnders for 100m they can sign like 10 players for 10m….

I really cannot understand the treatment of Maignan. Ok, Reijnders will be a big money move that’s understandable considering we’re owned by rotten stock investors but what’s the deal with Mike. He’s been a professional throughout this miserable season and saved us (as usual) many times as well. He’s ready to sign under last presented conditions but has been frozen from it. Can’t say other than go f*ck yourselves Gerry and the RottenTurds

As for Leao, his contributions (regardless of his body language) are still consistent. This season it’s been 1GA every other game (roughly), and that’s on a poorly built team. Outside of Puli and Reijnders this season, who else has done that?
Its not a rocket science, you buy a left back or 2 and you buy a winger who will score less than 10 goals a season with the money you will get from their sales.
Those players that you will bring in might not be as fast as Theo and Leao but they’d most likely give a 100%, be able to defend, track back, or score more than 10 goals in a season.
What kind of owner, you dont want to invest and develop the squad. He sold Tonali at a time when the team close to reach its maximum and now, we found ourselves not participating in European major tournaments and still insisting in sales of our vital players. How come are we going back to protagonist. I really miss savio balusconi.

Selling TJ and bringing back Tonali with the funds may be a good option. Else TJ should be the core of the new revolution
Tonali is not coming back. He’s been successful at Newcastle where he gets a high salary and they qualified for the next Champions League, unlike Milan. This is a pre-World Cup year. Players want to shine and secure their national team spots, and the Champions League is where they shine.
Reijnders and Maignan still so much important for this team. At least keep Maignan one more season, and keep Reijnders more longer.
Theo and Leao are more make sense to be sold this season.
But, many of fans still want these 2 players to stay. Yes, I think they deserved one more chance, especially with new coach will come.
But if they failed again to rise up. In January sell Theo and Leao.
The last player I would sell in this team is Leao. People should stop all this talk about Leao should be sold. If you sell him, with whom are you replacing him ? Milan can’t afford to spend big sò let’s hold the valuable ones we have
Maignan is the French #1, he will want to play CL football and that will mean an exit.
