In recent days, Massimo Ambrosini has been linked with a move back to AC Milan. Last night, he discussed the rumours.
Finding the cure to the current disease haunting Milan is not easy. Unfortunately, there are so many parts that are failing that a fix is not simply there. Of course, we are already seeing the first steps being taken, a mass exodus. However, it probably runs deeper.

A familiar face to return?
The Rossoneri, without Paolo Maldini, have craved a figure to replace the legend and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not come close to doing that. So, perhaps, another figure from the past could come to help out.
Ambrosini, as we know, was thought of, but it seems he will turn down the offer if it arrives. Nevertheless, he spoke about the situation again at the Serie A festival in Parma, and Calciomercato.com have relayed his words from the event.
“Tare is a football man, he will help from a technical and organisational point of view, I read about interesting choices, and there was readiness to quickly hire a good coach.
“Me? Let’s see, I haven’t heard from anyone. I’m happy doing what I do in a serious company that supports me and values me. Milan is Milan, for everyone.
“Modric? His identity card has its weight, but he can certainly help, he has specific characteristics, and he also played a lot in the season just ended. The mere presence of a profile like that can help the younger guys. Maybe he won’t play them all like Rrahmani did at Napoli, but he will be important.
“Allegri will know how to manage him, as he has always done in his career.”
Milan is Milan, yes, but whether the same pull factor is there, as it was before, is certainly debatable.
Milan is not Milan.
A competitive, ambitious, winning Milan would keep their best players who then championships with no hesitation and finish above 8th.
Is Cardinale such an egotist that he can’t realise his “project” isn’t working and Milan are coming apart at its seams? He should learn from his mistake, eat humble pie and do all he can – and more – to bring Paolo Maldini back to AC Milan.
Or he should just sell the club.
