With the summer changes expected, AC Milan must be fully behind the decisions made. If they are not, the project risks failing.
Hiring a new sporting director is a process which, on paper, should be quite simple; analyse the candidates and then make a decision based on the best fit for the club. However, it is turning out to be much more difficult.
A decision was expected by Easter, and there are no signs of a move being finalised shortly, which suggests that there are internal discussions still continuing over the best candidate. Something which Massimo Ambrosini has spoken to DAZN about this morning, via Antonio Vitiello.
“The technical project did not come to fruition. It did not work and that is a fact. I am surprised by the wait for the sporting director choice, it means that the decision-making process is not yet so streamlined. Milan must make a decision and go all together towards it.”
Considering the candidate landscape is quite bleak as it stands, the decision could be more of a desperation hunt, rather than an actual wait to make a decision. Either way, it is not a good look, when the management needs to be showing their ability to work together.
Imagine knowing that bringing back Maldini to continue the project he was succeeding at wont happen because this managment is so far up their arses and egotistical that they would rather risk burying our beloved club even further down the ground..
Sick of these american fruads treating a club like Milan like a corporate bank for their own benefit
Gtfo my club Gerry u twat
Origi and other recent poor quality purchases have taught you nothing? Without support from the rest of the board, Maldini’s project had no right to last any longer, because most of the individuals who sacrificed themselves for that Milan and took it to the next level left the club or became corporate yes-men.
The main issue is not the departure of Paolo, but that instead of a new era of professionalization in Milan’s structures, the most cynical and depraved individuals like Moncada or ”Mr. Harvard” Furlani were promoted.
Origi = cheap board + salary cap + strict budget, not Maldini. and other recent poor quality purchases, who? CDK? he’s doing fine in Atalanta. impossible scudetto w/ strict r u forget?
if they replace Maldini w/ Marotta or someone in his level i’ll be ok but not this clowns we’ve..
Gerry needs to sell or I am done with this circus man. Can’t take another banter era
