Massimo Ambrosini has made the claim that AC Milan’s squad is superior to that of Juventus, making the league table even more worrying.
Milan have had a very up and down start to the 2024-25 campaign, with results such as the wins over Inter and Real Madrid offset by defeats against Parma, Fiorentina and also Napoli.
The current situation is that Milan sit seventh in the Serie A table, six points behind Juventus in sixth albeit with a game in hand to play against Bologna.
Only two points separate sixth up to Napoli in first so a good run could see a surge, especially with Juve to come after the break. However, five wins from 11 in the league does not inspire much confidence.
During DAZN’s Serie A Show, Ambrosini spoke about Milan and the inconsistent start to the season that they have made to the season under Paulo Fonseca.
“In these first 12 games, Milan have too often given the impression of leaving something behind in terms of attitude and attention,” he said (via MilanNews).
“The goals they have conceded demonstrates that the solid foundation that Juventus have, Milan do not have. Milan has a base of talent and strength that is even superior to Juventus, in terms of the quality of the players and the sum of the engine that the players have. Juventus at this moment has a decidedly more solid base.”
