Ancelotti on Ibrahimovic to Everton rumours: “I should call him, maybe I will” – video

Carlo Ancelotti has opened the door for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to join him at Everton during his official unveiling as the new Toffees boss.

We reported on Friday that the 38-year-old Swede – who is Milan’s first choice target to reinforce the attack – has in fact already said no to the idea of an Everton move and that the Rossoneri are his only option unless he chooses to retire.

Meanwhile, il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews.it) are reporting that the Diavolo have requested an answer before Christmas Day, suggesting that we are 48 hours away from finding out.

However, during his presentation press conference as new Everton coach, Ancelotti discussed speculation he will make an attempt to sign him.

“We are good friends. I have trained many fantastic players, I know that he ended his adventure in the United States but I don’t know what his idea is for the future,” the former PSG boss said.

“I should call him, maybe I will. If he wants to come to Liverpool to have fun, come, but not to play [laughs].”
