Aston Villa may have confirmed via their Twitter account that Pepe Reina will not be returning on a permanent basis after his loan spell ended.
The Spanish goalkeeper, after achieving Premier League survival with Aston Villa, has announced that he will not retire and that he will return to Milan once his loan expires, where he still has another year of contract.
The €3million net that Reina is set to earn could be enough to convince Milan to try and offload him, but it seems as though Villa aren’t banking on getting him back…
Experience and quality when we needed it most. 🙌
Gracias, @PReina25! 💜#AVFC pic.twitter.com/saxw9AWo6P
