Badelj’s agent: “AC Milan? We had an agreement with them, but…”

In an interview with Calciomercato.com, Milan Badelj’s agent, Dejan Joksimovic, spoke about his client’s future and the interest of San Siro side AC Milan.

When asked about a potential renewal of Badelj’s contract with Fiorentina, Dejan Joksimovic said that: “Fiorentina have never called us to offer a new deal. The last time I spoke to representatives of the club was in October.”

Calciomercato’s reporter, Daniele Longo, also brought up the interest of AC Milan. Here’s what Joksimovic had to say about the situation.

“Last summer we had an agreement with Milan at €15m, which also included a better salary for my client. Then, suddenly, Fiorentina changed their position.

“We also had direct contacts with Milan in January. Inter and Roma also showed their interest, but we only had contacts with Milan. Given the ownership difficulties, Milan tried to sign Badelj on loan with an obligation to buy, but Fiorentina rejected the offer.”

“If it’s possible that my client will join AC Milan? A door for AC Milan will always be open, as we admire and respect the club and its history.”
