Tiemoué Bakayoko will return to Chelsea as AC Milan have decided not to active the buy-out clause, despite the midfielder’s success during the season with the Rossoneri.
“Chelsea? I’m going back to them, I still have a three-year contract, I have no choice. I don’t know what will happen then, but I have to go back to Chelsea. It’s the only thing I know,” he told L’Equipe.
The Frenchman was also asked about his relationship with Gennaro Gattuso, as the two fell out during the latter stages of the season.
“It was a tense relationship, we didn’t really get along. However, in the end, we were both focused on the goal of bringing back the club to the Champions League. Unfortunately, we didn’t succeed. Really, I don’t want to talk about my former coach,” he concluded.
