Ballo-Toure assures Milan ‘will do everything’ to maintain pressure on Inter tonight

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of tonight’s game between AC Milan and Udinese, Fode Ballo-Toure spoke to the media about his condition and the Rossoneri’s situation. The left-back, as we know, has recently recovered from injury.

Ballo-Toure was part of the Senegal team that went all the way in the AFCONs but due to Covid and an injury, he didn’t play much. The injury also stopped him from taking part in Milan’s game upon returning from the tournament.

In an interview with MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, the left-back spoke about his current condition and what Milan need to do tonight. The Rossoneri are currently two points ahead of Inter in the standings and will be looking to put pressure on them.

On his condition…

“I’m very happy with the victory of the AFCONs. It was important for us. I have now recovered after the injury and for this, I’m happy.”

On Udinese…

“Today, we will do everything to win and temporarily leapfrog Inter. Then we will think about the Coppa Italia match against the Nerazzurri.”

On their approach…

“We have to play intensely and stay calm.”

As said, it’s an opportunity to put even more pressure on Inter and there will be around 50k fans at San Siro tonight. Considering that it’s a 6.45 pm kick-off on a Friday, these are very good numbers that Milan achieved through a successful ticket campaign.
