Prolific striker declares intention to speak with Arsenal over future amid Milan links

By Oliver Fisher -

Striker Folarin Balogun has admitted that he needs to talk to Arsenal and find out what they have in mind for his future at the end of the season.

Arsenal sent Balogun out on loan to Stade Reims in August to get some more playing time and he has certainly grabbed the chance with both hands, scoring 18 goals in 29 appearances so far with 17 of those goals coming in the league.

The fact that only Kylian Mbappe and Jonathan David have scored more than him in Ligue 1 means it is no surprise to see a number of interested clubs circling, and Balogun was asked what the future might hold.

“There’s talks that need to take place and it’s not a decision that will only be with me. The club will let me know their point of view and I’m sure we’ll come to an agreement. It’s nice that Arteta is watching what’s going on,” he told Sky Sports (via Fabrizio Romano).

La Gazzetta dello Sport are among the sources to have reported in recent weeks that Balogun is in Milan’s sights for next season as they look for a future No.9.
