After the 1-0 win against Cagliari yesterday, AC Milan legend Franco Baresi sent a message to the team on his Twitter profile. He especially praised the performance of match-winner Ismael Bennacer.
Bennacer scored the only goal of the game with a fantastic volley effort and he was also very important in keeping possession. Baresi, who currently works as the honorary vice-president of the club, sent a message on his Twitter: “Great spirit and a super Bennacer”.

Milan are now six points ahead of their city rivals Inter in the standings and Napoli remain three points behind. The Nerazzurri have the game against Bologna in hand and in the worst-case scenario, the distance will be three points instead.
Just eight games remain of the league season but the Rossoneri are also fighting in the Coppa Italia, in which they will face Inter in the second leg of the semi-final. Going through to the final would give them a further boost.
