AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will have to cope without Ismael Bennacer and Davide Calabria for Sunday’s game against Atalanta, a report claims.
According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), Bennacer and Calabria have still not returned to training fully with the rest of the squad and given that the Atalanta game is getting closer and closer, the chances of seeing them play are virtually zero.
In yesterday’s session the pair did individual work to try and fully recover from their respective muscle problems, which strongly suggests that at present they will not even be named in Stefano Pioli’s squad for the match against La Dea.
Their return is scheduled for the next match on 4 March away against Fiorentina. On Sunday, Alexis Saelemaekers should play instead of Calabria against the visitors from Bergame while Rade Krunic will be playing alongside Sandro Tonali in midfield once again.
Damn Pioli has ptsd from Roma and wont play Vranxs anymore
Calabria should allow the trio of Tomori , Kalulu and Thiaw to man the defence because he is not fit yet.
Damn! Let’s hope that Atalanta also won’t be having a great day, cuz if they do their usual “machine grinding” football, we could be in a big trouble. And kers not forget that playing at Franchi the following round, isn’t an easy place to win points, no matter Fiorentina’s table position!
Calabria is not a loss. He should only be a back up. He was one of the main reasons for our terrible run.
