In less than 30 minutes, AC Milan will face Inter in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final. Speaking to the media, Ismael Bennacer shared his thoughts on the game as he will play from the start.
It will be a very important game for both sides as they are lacking confidence, having registered poor results as of late. For the Rossoneri, it’s an opportunity to bounce back ahead of the crucial game against Napoli on Sunday.
As Sandro Tonali is suspended, Bennacer will start in the midfield tandem along with Franck Kessie. In an interview with Mediaset, as cited by MilanNews, the Algerian shared his thoughts on the game.
What does this challenge give you?
“Great great motivation, the difference is made by the quality and aggressiveness you put into these games.”
Can you repeat the last victory?
“For us that belongs to the past, today will be another game and we will do our best to win it.”
On two legs against Inter…
“It’s a crucial game against a great team, for us it’s like a final. Today is an important match for us, even if there will be a second leg.”
Again on the match…
“It’s always a special match, we have prepared ourselves in the best possible way. There is great motivation, we will do everything to win.”
On his form…
“I’m fine, I always try to do my best to help the team.”
Away goals do still apply in Coppa Italia and that means that it will be important for Milan not to concede tonight, or at least not to concede many goals. Hopefully, they will bounce back with a strong performance.
