AC Milan loanee Tommaso Pobega has today undergone an operation to treat the fracture of nasal bones, it has been confirmed.
As Torino have now announced (via MilanNews), Pobega sustained the fracture during their game against Venezia over the weekend and it was then determined that it needed surgery. The operation was performed by Professor Libero Tubino and his team, at the civil hospital of Chivasso in the presence of the Torino medical staff.
In the next few days the player will be able to resume training with a special protective mask, which will resemble the one that Victor Osimhen has been wearing after his facial fractures earlier in the season.
It is a blow for Pobega but it should not keep him out for too long if at all, which is good news for Milan who are watching his development with an eye to the future and the potential for him to join the first team squad ahead of next season.
