AC Milan are getting ready to make Ismael Bennacer a new contract offer as he has given the club priority when it comes to his future, a report claims.
As has been reported by Calciomercato.it, the Algerian midfielder has a new agent and is out of contract in 18 months which means it is a priority for Milan to secure his future at the club.
The club know that they must show they value the player who is a target for multiple big clubs, in particular Liverpool.
That is why they could make an offer of €4 million per season, making him one of the highest earners in the squad. This is in the face of interest from, as well as Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.
As well as the Bennacer deal, Milan are also trying to get both Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud to commit themselves to the club. The Giroud operation should be much easier.
And if he wants 5?… give it to him. He’s worth it, and he’s been here for years. Also, he’s been good for years. Kessie wasn’t good for more than 1.5 years yet we were willing to go to 6 or so for him. So imo if we offer 4 and he wants 5? Done. He’s one of our 5 best players and a part of our core.
Imo our core rn is Maignan, Tomori, Theo, Bennacer, Tonali. These players must be kept.
Add Leao to that list and Milan will remain on top for years!
Nah, Leao can be replaced. He’s excellent but he seems less likely to renew and we can get an exorbitant amount of money for him. Seems right to capitalize imo
If Bennacer sing, only Leao stays without contract. Maybe Milan can risk and invest all in Leao. In summer, only buy 1 striker and give Leao huge salary.
We should give Leao what he wants, sell everyone else and buy Haaland. Then just play Leao and Haaland and a bunch of Primavera players. /s
