Biasin suggests Milan would ‘prefer to lose’ with risk than draw with no threat: “Not acceptable”

The past seven days have seen AC Milan play rather questionably, and today, Fabrizio Biasin has commented on the matter.

A draw against Juventus and three points in the Champions League are decent results at face value. However, football is rarely a game played like this. The draw against Juventus was without major showings of Milanese threat, and the win against Slovan Bratislava was not much better.

Questions after both games have come thick and fast, and once again, Paulo Fonseca finds himself in a difficult position with faith in his ability falling again.

In the summer, a dominant Milan was promised. As we approach six months of his tenure, signs of dominance are difficult to see and in the past two games, you look for spells rather than anything more consistent.

Ultimately, he is currently falling short of his promise, and Biasin has spoken about the situation in an editorial for TMW, and his words have been transcribed by Milan News.

“The match with Juventus is not a problem of points, or not only. It’s a problem of ‘proposal’. Milan return from Bratislava with three excellent points for the league table and for morale [top 8 places at this point are possible]. However, there are some buts.

“The first: the match with Juventus is not a problem of ‘points’, or not only. It’s a problem of ‘proposal’. An AC Milan fan isn’t used to that stuff there, he can’t accept it. At the limit, he prefers to lose because he tried to win and, therefore, cannot stand such ugliness. Fonseca says he agrees, but the problem is that certain things he should understand first.

“The second: the first goal conceded by Slovan Bratislava is chilling, not acceptable even in the Third Category, a concentration of bad decisions and superficiality that the 2-3 final only partly mitigates. Fonseca is in search of continuity and certainty but, at the moment, he seems a bewildered man in a society that – at least in appearance – seems little interested in the general discontent.”

  1. I also said after that Juventus match that I almost would have preferred us losing it if we had played a fantastic match and given our all to win it. Getting 1 point against a team of Juventus stature isn’t disgraceful but the complete lack of hunting a victory was amongst the worst bs I’ve ever witnessed in an AC Milan match. I could even understand the initial approach and XI if it was to tire a completely depleted Turin team with not many options available on the bench but we should at least have taken far more attacking measures in use at half time or early on in the second half.
I was furious after that match and is happy that I didn’t watch it at San Siro as it would just have further infuriated me had a I paid a great deal of money for traveling down there to behold such travesty of a match.

  2. All will be Good the pattern of play Fonseca promised us it will arrive I’m 100% Acmilan is really improving bit by bit only that they were quality players we sold and we didn’t replace them this fought is from Pioli not Fonseca we lost tonali, krunic,Diaz, messia Jnr, and saelemeakers now we need to do all this replacement by breaking the bank like this January we need to do a massive signing to turn serie A table around and I now Fonseca can do it after intermilan were the next doing well in champions league and I’m sure Acmilan can win all their remaining matches in champions league. But we need to do our path by encouraging the team Pioli useless the tactical play of Milan and Fonseca is here to restore it back.

    1. You said we sold quality players then you name drop tonali, krunic,Diaz, messia Jnr, and saelemeakers?
The only one of those with any quality was tonali and if he’d stayed he would be playing anyway.. #gamblingban

Then you said we’re improving and Milan will 100% get gud, fonseca WILL deliver. BUT!!! Only if we send a lot of money in January.
Fúcking shít man.. are you OK?
