A near-capacity crowd will be on hand at the Stadio Artemio Franchi tonight as Fiorentina host AC Milan, according to a report.
As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports today, Fiorentina and Milan will be welcomed tonight by a packed Franchi as estimates say that there will be almost 40,000 fans present, which is close to the official capacity of just over 43,000.
It will be a poignant evening as fans will pause to remember the fifth anniversary of the death of Davide Astori, who will be honoured before and during the game. Milan head coach Stefano Pioli was in charge of La Viola at the time of his passing and paid tribute in his pre-match press conference yesterday.
Milan fans will fully occupy the 1,800 seats in the away section but there will certainly be more Rossoneri fans present considering that many have also bought tickets for other sectors of the stadium as well.
