Big crowd expected at Bentegodi for Verona-Milan amid two key factors

By Isak Möller -

Stadio Bentegodi is regarded as one of the worst stadiums in Serie A, mainly because of its concrete look and distance from the stands to the pitch. Tomorrow, AC Milan will take on Hellas Verona there.

It’s not all doom and gloom, though, as a big attendance is expected at the stadium for the game. There are several reasons behind this, one of which is the amazing support of the Milan fans. In addition, it will be Salvatore Bocchetti’s first game as head coach for Verona and the fans want to show their support.

According to Hellas Verona’s official website, around 21k tickets have been sold for the game and that is a good number considering the capacity is 28k. The number will probably increase as we get closer to the game.

As alluded to earlier, Stadio Bentegodi certainly isn’t a good football stadium and a renovation is absolutely necessary. There was a project in place but the plans were shelved. The future solution might be demolition.
