Bild: Milan abandon pursuit of Werder Bremen star with €20m price tag – the reason

By Isak Möller -

With just three games left of the season, AC Milan will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run which is now at nine games. However, plans are already being made for next season, with Stefano Pioli at the helm.

The renewal of the manager and the subsequent change in plans, opting not to move forward with Ralf Rangnick, have changed Milan’s strategy for the transfer market. In fact, some names will be removed from their transfer wish list.

According to German newspaper Bild, as cited by TuttoMercatoWeb, Milot Rashica is one of the players that the Rossoneri have stopped pursuing. Instead, Rangnick wants to bring the Werder Bremen striker to Leipzig as Timo Werner’s replacement.

Rashica has a high price tag, though, with the German side requesting more than €20m for his departure. Meanwhile, Leipzig have only presented an offer of €15m thus far, keen on closing a deal for the 42-year-old.
