Bild: RB Leipzig’s stance on move for Milan midfielder outlined – no contacts made

By Oliver Fisher -

RB Leipzig are not interested in a move for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie contrary to rumours in the Italian press, it is claimed.

Kessie arrived at Milan from the club’s Lombardy rivals Atalanta back in 2017 and has held down a spot in the starting XI for the majority of that period, but speculation over his future persists.

There have been stories from various sources crediting Inter with interest in the Ivorian, but earlier on Monday La Repubblica (via MilanNews) stated the 23-year-old’s performances have attracted the attention of Leipzig.

However, German outlet BILD (via MilanNews) have moved to clear up any speculation by stating that Leipzig have no interest in signing the former Atalanta man.

They add that there have been no contacts made regarding a deal, seemingly definitively closing the door on what was earlier reported by La Repubblica.

Kessie scored his second goal in two games on Sunday night, converting from the penalty spot to earn Milan a 2-2 draw against Napoli.
