AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura has once again revealed that playing for the Rossoneri is his childhood dream.
Speaking on stage at the Oratorio “S. Andrea” even at Sesto San Giovanni, Bonaventura spoke to all the children present about his experiences as a professional player.
“Children are an inspiration for all of us, when they play they should have fun and we should imitate them too,” he said.
“Among the senior players there is the obligation to get results and pressures, but when we have fun on the field everything is more beautiful.
“Getting to a great team was my dream as a child, playing at Milan is like fulfilling my dream, every time I go out in the field it’s a great emotion.
“Every time I enter San Siro, in such a beautiful stadium, the memories of a child with football in the fields of the province come back to my mind and I feel proud”.
One the most beautiful moment of his career: “There were many, hard to say one, but probably my debut in Serie A.
“I was very tense, then especially the first time in the field with the national team.”
Bonaventura then discussed the pressure of the upcoming derby against Inter at San Siro.
“When I was little I could only dream of such a thing, so I understand that I have chosen the right path, and every time the emotion is getting bigger and bigger, you never get used to the derby.”
