Summer signing Brahim Diaz has revealed that he does feel the pressure of playing for a big and historic club like AC Milan.
The attacking midfielder joined on loan from Real Madrid earlier in the month, and while it is officially a dry loan a number of reliable sources have confirmed that the Rossoneri will enter discussions with Los Blancos over a permanent deal as the season progresses.
The Spaniard – who arrived in the Spanish capital from Manchester City – made his competitive debut for Milan during Thursday night’s 2-0 win over Shamrock Rovers in Dublin, showing exactly what he is about with some smart skills.
Brahim spoke to broadcaster SportMediaset about how he has settled in at Milan so far, and his words were transcribed by MilanNews.
Does being at Milan put pressure on you? “Yes, of course, I like the pressure. Milan is a great club, there is this pressure, you have to win, you have to win titles, the truth is that I want to show everything here and be decisive and help the team with my plays.”
On his shirt number, 21: “The number does not play in my head, I always say it, but to be honest I really like the number 10. I had it as a child, but I also like 21 a lot.
“I had it at Real Madrid and this year I wanted to carry it on my shoulders also here with a lot of work and a lot of sacrifice in this club that is Milan.”
On Ibrahimovic: “He is an incredible player and I can say the same thing as a person.”
On the objectives: “We see game after game and we try to conquer all together to win what we can win and with this mix of experts and young people we can do great things.”
