Tuttosport: Brahim Diaz raring to go after the break – he has returned in ‘excellent’ condition

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have welcomed back a Brahim Diaz who seems to be fully fit and raring to go after a difficult pre-Christmas period, a report claims.

Brahim started the season well after his return on loan from Real Madrid, having a great impact including amassed four goals in his first nine games and looking like he would have no problem taking the starting spot from the departed Hakan Calhanoglu. However, he has not scored since the win against Spezia in September.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), there is no doubt that against Roma, Brahim Diaz will start as the attacking midfielder behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Spaniard has not been in the best physiological and psychological moment after being knocked out of form by Covid, but the signs are positive.

The paper claims that the 22-year-old arrived back at Milanello and appeared regenerated from the days of vacation and is now in excellent condition. Pioli expects a lot from Brahim who is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the squad, and from Thursday he will have to show his value.
