Braida opens up about potential return to Milan amid rumours: “This is the truth”

By Isak Möller -

After a four-year spell within the management of Barcelona, Ariedo Braida recently signed as the new CEO of Serie B side Cremonese. Lorenzo Colombo, the Milan loanee, is currently playing for the team.

The 74-year-old director was once part of Milan, where he spent 27 years between the roles of CEO and sporting director. And once he decided to leave Barcelona, there were some rumours about a potential return to the Rossoneri.

Braida was interviewed by the Italian newspaper QS, as cited by MilanLive, and he was asked about the aforementioned. However, he made his stance very clear on the matter, revealing that he hasn’t been in contact with Milan.

“I have received many calls from Italian clubs and three from foreign clubs. However, I haven’t received any calls from Milan, this is the truth,” he stated.

In the meantime, he will put all of his focus on developing the management of Cremonese. And speaking of the latter side, it will be interesting to see if Colombo can get some more playing time, having scored just one goal thus far.
