BREAKING: Andrea Bertolacci set for loan switch to Genoa

It has been talked about a lot in the last couple of days, but it seems a deal has been reached. Andrea Bertolacci will according to Gianluca Di Marzio join Genoa.

Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio says that Milan have reached an agreement with Genoa for Bertolacci. The Italian midfielder will move back to Genoa on a paid loan without an option to buy; a move that hopefully will do good for both sides.

Milan are now working to bring in Bertolacci’s replacement, according to Sky Italia.

Milan signed Bertolacci from Genoa back in 2015 for €20m, and so far he hasn’t lived up to that price tag. Performance wise, he hasn’t been up there and injuries have haunted his spell at Milan. Hopefully, a move back to Genoa could help him find the good form he had with them last time out.

Bertolacci’s contract with AC Milan expires in 2019, meaning there will still be time for the Rossoneri to extend his contract if he does well next season.
