BREAKING: Mihajlovic close to the axe

By Oliver Fisher -

According to reports from Sky’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Sinisa Mihajlovic may be sacked as manager of AC Milan tonight.

The situation at the club has been growing uncertain over recent weeks, and misery was compounded by the side’s loss to rivals Juventus at San Siro on Saturday night.

Anto Vitiello claims that Mihajlovic was in Rome today and received a phone call from Adriano Galliani, something which may be indicative of action taken by the club.

In addition to this, there are emerging reports that Cristian Brocchi had dinner with President Silvio Berlusconi today, and may be in line to take over should a vacancy become available.

Milan sit in sixth position in Serie A and have slipped further behind the race for fifth place where city rivals Inter sit, and with Sassuolo hot on the heels of the Rossoneri, it appears that the pressure has got to the squad.

It has always been speculated that a Coppa Italia final appearance might not be enough to save Sinisa’s job, so we stay tuned for the latest updates from this developing situation.
