Italian journalist Bucciantini on De Ketelaere: “Pioli likes him because he has pace”

By Euan Burns -

Italian journalist Marco Bucciantini has said that AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli likes Charles De Ketelaere for his pace and link-up play.

Speaking whilst on Sky Sport (Via Milan News), Bucciantini talked about why the Rossoneri and Pioli in particular are so keen to make De Ketelaere a part of the squad.

As he explains, it is clear to all what Milan are after in this transfer window and that is a number 10, along with some other positions.

“On paper it is easy to identify what Milan are looking for, a 10, [Franck] Kessie’s replacement and a grafter in defence.”

He then went on to be specific about which of the Club Brugge midfielder’s characteristics make him so perfect for what Pioli is looking for right now.

“They are looking for versatile and quality profiles. De Ketelaere is understood because Pioli likes him, because he has pace, he likes to link up with others in the game and he has that age that favours striking.”

Milan have opened the bidding for the youngster but they only offered €20 million which is far below the €30-35 million that the Belgian champions want to receive for their key player.

The Rossoneri are expected to raise their offer soon with competition coming from the Premier League.

  1. I really want us to get De Ketelaere I think he’s really talented, however is Pioli watching the same De Ketelaere? 😂

  2. I would say Aldi has pace, I have not seen that change of pace or acceleration from clips of CDK, he’s no Kaka in my opinion.
Hope he proves me wrong. I would love that
