AC Milan defender Davide Calabria insisted that the squad ‘deserves a lot of satisfaction’ for the work they put in every day.
Milan kicked off the second half of their game against Lazio last night facing the biggest test of their character all season as they trailed 1-0 to a Ciro Immobile goal, and they came back to win thanks to Olivier Giroud’s equaliser and Sandro Tonali’s 92nd-minute winner.
Calabria spoke to the microphones of Milan TV after the game with a smile on his face, and his words were relayed by MilanNews.
On the win: “I was very confident for today’s match. We believed in it, we knew they are a difficult and well-trained opponent. We didn’t want to give up, we deserved it.”
On the three points: “We wanted this victory at all costs, this group deserves a lot of satisfaction.”
On the fans: “The fans have been perfect for several years, now they are giving us a big hand: they are the best fans in the world.”
On the next difficult challenges: “They motivate us a lot, they will be difficult matches but we have the ambition to win them all from here to the end and we will do our best.”
