GdS: Camarda being watched closely by Milan as goals flow for the national team too

By Oliver Fisher -

Francesco Camarda keeps seeing his name in the media headlines as his exploits for the AC Milan youth sector continue to impress.

La Gazzetta dello Sport talk about Camarda and recall how he has been dubbed a ‘future star of Milan’ by some YouTube compilations that show his highlights which include a lot of goals.

However, when he doesn’t score he helps his team-mates like in the recent Under 16 derby win 2-1 against Inter, in which the Rossoneri No.9 left his mark with a nice assist for Sala’s decisive goal.

In the 31st minute of the second half, the 14-year-old took the ball in midfield and started on the left, leaving behind a couple of opponents before putting in a perfect cross for Sala, who scored to earn a big derby win.

One of the most frequently asked questions regarding Camarda refers to the actual number of goals scored. It seems that since he started playing his first 5-on-5 and 7-on-7 matches, the counter has jumped over 400.

Between headers and finishes in the area like old-fashioned centre-forwards, last year he helped bring the U15 Scudetto back to the Rossoneri after 12 years under the careful guidance of Roberto Bertuzzo.

Camarda – who looks up to Ibra as an idol and enjoys kickboxing off the pitch – also made his debut in a friendly match with Ignazio Abate’s Primavera, scoring two goals against Solbiatese (an adult side).

With the U16 team (currently leading Group B) he has netted 18 times, without forgetting the seven goals he has scored for the U15 national team in eight games. At Milanello they are watching his growth.

    1. Do you even know why Nagelsmann was sacked despite his promising talent as a coach and relatively successful stint in Europe thus far? Because he’s toxic and lost the dressing room completely.

Do you want to bring such a manager to Milan?
