Capello expects balanced Napoli clash amid Osimhen injury and names Milan’s key

Victor Osimhen has been ruled out for the first two games against Napoli and Fabio Capello believes this could have a big impact on that. Especially if a certain Milan duo were to hit good form.

Milan and Napoli will take on each other in the league on Sunday evening. A week and a half later, they will face in he first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. Osimhen, the Napoli star, has been ruled out for these two games due to an injury.

Speaking to Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, the legendary manager Capello was asked about the clash. He believes that the game could now be more balanced, with Milan’s key being the left-hand side.

“Without Osimhen, Napoli are a bit different. The key for Milan could be to focus on Theo and Leao on the left. I’ve seen Theo with France and he makes a difference, while Leao can create a numerical superiority.

“Milan must be very careful with the Napoli midfield, though, countering with speed and technique. Calabria could also have difficulties with Kvara, so he will need help,” he stated.

Rafael Leao broke his goal drought while on international duty for Portugal and this could perhaps be the spark needed to shine for Milan again. Theo Hernandez has done well lately too, but of course he would benefit from a Leao in form.
