Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports this morning that several players are expected to leave. Zachary Athekame will go on loan to Lyon. Youssouf Fofana and Fikayo Tomori – both of whom were not used in the last friendly against Chelsea – are also on the way out.
Pervis Estupinan and Santiago Gimenez are surplus to requirements, too. The Rafael Leao case is still ongoing: after announcing his desire to change teams in recent months, the Portuguese has now also indicated his desire to stay. If an offer of €50m comes in, Milan will sell him.
The squad needs to be trimmed, but also strengthened, and the meeting between Cardinale and Amorim will also serve to finalise the areas to work on. For days now, the manager has been asking for a left-footed attacking midfielder (FC Midtjylland’s Dario Osorio a target).
He’s also keen on another defensive addition after Mario Gila and Sankhoun Diawara (his favourite remains Gonçalo Inacio of Sporting CP). It’s also unclear whether a wing-back will be sought following the departure of Athekame and the likely departure of Estupinan.

Kayode, Ruggeri also cost the same as Estupinan. But Milan aren’t interested as they are Italians. Meanwhile, they keep buying confirmed bench warmers like Emerson Royal, Estupinan at similar fee. What a waste.
There were many more but here some people have d1ck in their eyes… I remember specifically talking about them, only to be bombarded by they are average comments…
The more concerning from my pov is Ramos. Yes, it’s only a couple of friendly matches, but he had nearly zero positive impact. His figure should never reach 70 something mil. It’s just non sense.
Compared to Jackson (our ex target) on the last match, his presence was extremely felt. Causing our defense all sorts of problems everytime he had the ball.

I read Gerry Cardinale have great relationship with PSG boss. I wonder whether they have some deal behind and inflate the figure. No way Ramos should cost that high. I agree Ramos is like Morata/ Carmada and need services which is non-existent in Milan. I am afraid he would flop hard like Giminez, only cost double the amount

The way Amorim talked with Gerry Cheapinale when he got hired I was like Ok lets give him a chance but when he said that he wants to assess Musah, Terracciano, Estupiñán, Tomori and RLC I was like nah that’s a amateur move and should have sold them right away.
Hard to believe that this group of misfits is an even bigger disaster than the season before, but here we are…
Whoever appointed Amorim as Milan’s coach is a stupid. The worst you can do is hand a delicate team to someone who is as rigid as Amorim, when you don’t have money to spend to buy his favourite toys. This won’t end well…
