Gerry Cardinale had a meeting with the president of Lombardy this afternoon and as he left the building, he said a few words to the journalists on the scene.
Cardinale has accelerated Milan’s stadium pursuit and this morning, they confirmed their willingness to build it in the La Maura area. This afternoon, he also had a meeting with the president of Lombardy Attilio Fontana.
Speaking to the journalists present after the meeting, Cardinale said the following about the situation: “No news yet, but we are working on things. It was a good meeting”. Of course, it’s a process that will take some time.

Milan have seemingly abandoned the San Siro project and are now entirely focused on securing the La Maura area. There are various constraints to overcome and it’s thus important for Cardinale to have both mayor Sala and Lombardy president Fontana on his side.
Tim Romani, founder and president of CAA ICON (a leading international company in the construction of cutting-edge sports facilities) was also present at the meeting.
