MN: Cardinale sent congratulations to Pioli and Maldini after Spurs game

By Oliver Fisher -

Gerry Cardinale sent his congratulations to the AC Milan management after last night’s 0-0 draw against Tottenham and the subsequent qualification for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

That is according to MilanNews, who report that Cardinale watched the match on television from the United States as usual. After the full-time whistle the main man from RedBird Capital sent a message of congratulations both to head coach Stefano Pioli and to the technical director Paolo Maldini.

During the message he said he was very proud of the great unity and competitive spirit shown on the field by the team, extending his compliments to the whole squad for what was a resilient effort again.

Gordon Singer – a member of the Milan board of directors – was in the stands last night given he is London-based. He attended the match alongside Maldini, Ricky Massara, CEO Giorgio Furlani and also some of the investors that RedBird involved in their plan for the purchase of the club.

  1. Gordon Singer is very annoying. Elliot sold Milan to people (redbird) who weren’t willing to invest in improving the squad, when they had other offers from Bahrain who were willing to invest in improving the squad
