Repubblica: Cardinale has been to La Maura site ahead of possible Milan stadium move

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has been to the site at La Maura where the Rossoneri could potentially build a new stadium which is not shared with Inter, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Repubblica, the area is currently a horse racing track but the club are confident that they could build a stadium there, as well as a club headquarters and centres for the youth teams and AC Milan Women.

They report that Cardinale went to the site the day before Milan hosted Tottenham at San Siro in the Champions League.

Cardinale specified in stadiums when he was working in America but he is aware that it is much harder to make progress in this regard in Italy than in America.

Lots of inspections will need to be carried out before Milan make any sort of commitment towards building a stadium on the site which is very close to San Siro.

  1. Easier to build stadiums in America because the teams can move away and put pressure on the city to give funds. These billionaires are so stingy and this guy is no exception.
