MN: Expiring Chelsea duo, Lille star and Fiorentina defender on Milan’s January target list

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are working on finding a new central defender after Simon Kjaer’s injury and new targets are emerging all the time, a report claims.

According to the latest from MilanNews, the directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working hard to find the right centre-back to come in and not only cover in Kjaer’s absence but also give the department an extra reliable player to help boost the quality depth available to Stefano Pioli.

The phone at Casa Milan is bust with many agents offering their clients. In addition to Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina and Sven Botman of Lille – two young defenders that have been linked with Milan for a while – there is also a Chelsea duo that are attracting Maldini’s interest.

Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger are the players in question, both of whom have expiring contract with the Blues and therefore could leave for a cut-price fee.
