AC Milan are one of the clubs interested in Federico Chiesa, and a report has emerged today that he hopes to return to Italy this summer.

There have been links between Milan and Chiesa for ages now. Last summer, the Rossoneri were involved with proceedings, however, the winger chose a move to Liverpool. Then, with his playing time limited, there have been constant suggestions that he could move back to Italy.

Now, it seems a tangible possibility. The Merseyside outfit have become ‘open’ to his departure, on the right conditions, and clubs are coming forward for the winger’s signature. Today, perhaps the biggest piece of news has been revealed, though.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chiesa is ‘prioritising’ a move to Italy in the mercato, and clubs have begun contact over the possibility of a deal, with the conditions being told to them. It has previously been reported that a loan move would not be favoured; however, if the player wants to leave desperately, it may become an option later in the window.

From what has already been reported, we know that he is ‘open’ to a move to San Siro, with the Rossoneri already beginning discussions with Liverpool in the past few weeks.

  1. If they sell Leao this would prob be the best replacement this management can get. Is Chiesa as good as Leao? No way, maybe 5 years ago. He is also very injury prone. However i don’t see this management splashing big money on something better or having the ability to scout some talented young wingers and find a gem. So its either this or some random winger from the french league.

  2. Why on earth would they bring Chiesa to the club? Obviously cut the cost somehow, but are they believing his going back to his old self? Man have been injured since his last seasons with Juventus, I don’t really see the benefits having him. If they going to sell Leao, at least be smart, go have a look around, especially now during the WC qualifiers. For example there was this one guy from Norway last night who made fun of the left side of Italy. But that might be too late now

  3. No one wants this cripple. Have you seen his numbers over the past 5 years? He’s a dud, half the player his father was.

  4. You guys that are making these statements about chiesa being an injury prone, don’t you know about pulisic condition before he come to Milan? If you didn’t, then you should do so because he was also an injury prone back then at Chelsea.
