CM: “A young striker could also arrive” – Milan accelerating pursuit of Brazilian teenager

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan want to close a deal for Santos striker Kaio Jorge in the current transfer window rather than waiting, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes how Paolo Maldini admitted to the desire to sign a new striker in addition to Olivier Giroud, remarking earlier tonight: “A young striker could also arrive.” The Chelsea striker is expected tomorrow in Milano for his medical tests and the signing of his contract, but another centre-forward could indeed yet arrive.

It seems that the profile the management have chosen is that of Santos teenager Kaio Jorge, who is considered the most convincing profile to Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, who are working to bring him to Italy in a short time.

Jorge can arrive for free in January, since his contract with Santos expires in December, but Maldini and Massara are working to bring the 19-year-old to Milanello immediately, knowing it would take a bid of €10m to do so.

Milan are seriously considering beating the competition and signing him now, though immediate competition Juventus and Napoli seems to have faded for the time being.
