CM: AC Milan face obstacle in negotiations for Real Madrid star

By Isak Möller -

Despite having Andre Silva, Cutrone and Piatek at their disposal, AC Milan are still considering options on the transfer market for the attacking department.

Among the many names linked with the Rossoneri in recent months, Mariano Diaz is included. The 25-year-old, who is owned by Real Madrid, has reportedly been put up for sale and could thus move this summer.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo, Diaz likes the idea of moving to Milan or Roma, who both are interested in the striker’s services. The Rossoneri have even discussed the player with the Bernabeu side in recent meetings.

However, as also pointed out, the deal remains difficult not only because of the negotiations with Real Madrid, but also with Diaz. In fact, the main obstacle is the salary request of €6.5m, which is a fee that Milan aren’t willing to pay.
